Eggplant requires a lot of heat to grow under glass. Outdoor cultivation is only possible in warm summer. Sow in February for an early crop. Transplant young plants after approximately 4 weeks and as soon as the first true leaf appears, transplant the plants into large 14 cm pots. If necessary, transfer later to open ground in a cold greenhouse. After fruiting, remove the withered petals immediately, otherwise the young fruits will die.
